Shimano Ocea Jigger LD – a deep-sea jigging multiplier with maximum power and control
Shimano Ocea Jigger LD is a high-end offshore reel, developed specifically for deep-sea jigging and fighting large sea predators. Part of the premium Ocea Jigger series, this model combines a lever drag system with innovative technologies for lighter work under load and maximum efficiency.
Main advantage: powerful advance + light rotation
One of the biggest challenges with lever drag reels is the increase in resistance under high load. Shimano solves this problem with a new design with a double drag system and Infinity Drive, which:
provides up to 30–40% lighter rotation at high advance
reduces lateral load on the mechanism
allows longer and more effective control when fighting fish
The result is a feeling close to a star drag reel, but with all the advantages of lever drag.
